BASIC WARNING LIGHT ON YOUR CAR METER


This time I will give some warning lights that are commonly found on your car's meter.

 1.Handbrake warning light



The usual for this light symbol is because you are using the handbrake, or the handbrake is active, other than that for problems that are rarely encountered is that it indicates that there is a problem with the brake system, ABS or low brake fluid.

1. Don't be panic it just a handbrake warning light . 
2. Slowly push down or release your handbrake. 
3. Then the warning lamp will disappear
4. If the warning lamp doesn't turn off , it seems like your brake system is in failure such as :
    - Brake Fluid 
    - Brake Sensor 
    - Brake Pad


2. Engine temperature warning light


The symbol indicates that it is intended to measure the temperature of the coolant part of the vehicle engine. When the meter gauge goes up to the red level, it means the coolant in your radiator is at a low level, there is a radiator leak or a problem with the head gasket. If this happens immediately stop the vehicle and open the bonnet then leave it until the temperature decreases and then after it cools down, check the radiator to see the water level and also under the radiator, whether there is a leak.

1. If this waning appear on your meter, then park your car at a safe place and turn off your engine. 
2. Open your front hood and search for your radiator . 
3. Wait for minutes before open the radiator cap as the coolant inside your radiator was too hot . 
4. Your engine cooling system may have problems such as: 
    - Low level of engine coolant
    - Got leaks in your cooling system 

If the problems are not found , maybe the sensor is the problems and go to nearest workshop to repair or replace the temperature sensor. 

3.Engine oil level warning light



A lit symbol that means engine oil, if while driving and the red light on this symbol lights up, it means your engine lacks of engine oil, top up with new engine oil before continuing the journey.


4.Vehicle battery system warning light




Indicator which means your vehicle's battery. If it continues to light up after starting the vehicle engine and when starting to run, it means there is a problem with the alternator, battery connection, cable problem, power steering or possible problem with your engine's cooler pump.

5. SRS Airbag Warning Light


The symbol that stands for SRS Air Bag. usually the light will switch off when you have finished installing the child seat, if it is still on, it is possible that it has detected damage and needs to be replaced if necessary. 

6. Check engine warning light


It means that your engine needs service due to various factors, it is possible that there is a problem in the internal part of the engine that needs inspection, among the reasons why it lights up it is possible that it is caused by a lack of engine power, or your electrical sensor has a problem.
