Everyone wants to have a car to go far , enjoying life with family , life partners , friends or even driving alone . But you must have to make sure that your car is in a good condition in everything to prevent anything bad from happening .
So this blog will tell you on how to check and prepare your car for a long journey.
There are 5 major things that you must do before starting your journey
1. Engine oil level and condition.
2. Radiator coolant
3. Fan belt
4. Tyre ( Including spare tyre )
5. Brake fluid and brake pad
ENGINE OIL LEVEL AND CONDITION
- Make sure that your engine oil level is on the max level as you can see at the right one of the picture.
- Make sure that the color of your engine oil is still looking in good condition ( bright or medium bright in color)
- Check your engine bay if there got any leaks
RADIATOR COOLANT
- Open the radiator cap to check the coolant level.
- Make sure that your coolant is not rust in color because if it happen your engine temperature will increase and your engine might overheated .
- Check the whole system of the radiator pipes and hoses if there got any water leaking on the system
FAN BELT

- This fan belt will be on the engine side as it is easy to find with your own eyes
- Make sure that your belt doesn't worn or broken as the belt will not make your water pump , alternator and aircond function .
- If your fan belt has a tear and causes a loud noise in the engine part then you are encouraged to change it for the safety of your car
TYRE AND SPARE TYRE
The left is in bad condition of tyre
- Make sure your tires are in good condition with no cracks on the tires, the tires are not limp and the tire tread is still thick and not worn.
BRAKE FLUID AND BRAKE PADS
- Please check your brake fluid and brake pad if the amount of fluid is enough and the brake pad is thick
